Helping others

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”

Mother Teresa

Our school values embrace all we do.  Our generosity of spirit means we help those in need.

In the academic year 2018-2018, our school charity will be Weston Hospicecare.  We will be encouraging participation in their charity fundraising, please follow the link on the side for further information about how you could get involved.

We celebrated the Royal Wedding in May 2018 and in lieu of a gift to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex we raised £287.55 for Heads Together by wearing red and white and blue instead of our school uniform.

In November 2017 we raised £346.03 for Children in Need in addition to £258.21 for the Poppy Appeal.

In October we donated food and drink to our Weston super Mare Foodbank.

We celebrated Red Nose Day March 2017 by wearing our red noses and sharing our favourite jokes.

By wearing something dotty to school on Friday 18th November 2016 we managed to raise the fantastic sum of £455.80 for Children in Need.

This Harvest we donated over 112kg of food to Foodbank Weston super Mare.  We also donated over £200 to FarmLink http://www.farmlink.org.uk/ and enjoyed a day dressed up as Farmers and meeting calves, chickens and tractors!

On 18th March 2016 we wore our sports kits to school and all donated money to BBC Sports Relief. We had rugby sessions and our teachers played a fun game of netball! We raised £236.20.

We dressed up as Superheros for Children in Need and raised £245.88 in November 2015.

We raised over £221 for the Royal British Legion by selling goods including friendship bracelets, slap rulers, wristbands, reflectors, pencils and of course poppies and crosses, in November 2015.

Many thanks to all those families who made a donation at our Harvest Celebration on the 19th October 2015.  We donated 65kg of food to Foodbank Weston super Mare.

We raised £214.92 for the Wallace and Grommit Appeal in memory of April Reeves.

Along with St Andrews VC Primary School and Banwell Primary School, we have donated items such as toothpaste, combs and hairbrushes to the Refugee Crisis.
