Parliament @ Hewish

Currently at Hewish we have ten parliament groups, all led by members of the Year Six Crew. The children are trained in skills such as oracy, planning, leading and explaining. They then plan a session each week that focuses on an aspect of our school or supports the wider curriculum. 

This week parliament leaders @ Hewish asked their children to consider the fact that 320,000 people are currently homeless in the UK. Different groups interpreted this with their children in a variety of ways. Below are some freeze frames Group Six asked their children to create. Whilst being photographed, leaders asked each child to explain how they were feeling about giving or being given help.
